PRODUCT OVERVIEW
R37 Revolution Series Single Color Warning LED Light uses TOMAR’s clear vision optics to ensure that the light emitted from this emergency/warning LED lamp is effective and can be seen by others approaching the scene of an emergency.
By focusing the lumens away from the emergency vehicle and further down the road, the result is increased visibility to motorists and reduced night blindness and eyestrain for first responders working directly around the vehicle. This is accomplished by focusing the lumens in a horizontal plane, and eliminating stray vertical warning light. Emergency warning lights should be seen from a distance, and not focused up close. TOMAR Revolution Warning Series lights can be equipped with either SAE or European ECE65 optics.
Product Options
What is FPM?
FPM, or Flashes Per Minute, describes the Flash Rate, or how many full flash-cycles the lamp will display per 60 seconds of time. Agencies such as the National Fire Protection Agency and the California Code of Regulations (CA-13 or CCR-13) use FPM to regulate what they believe to be optimized warning lamp conditions.
Note: Both of the aforementioned agencies call for flashes per minute to be between 60 and 120 FPM.
What do Phases mean?
The Phase of a warning lamp determines the timing of the flash in relation to when the lamp is powered. A Phase 0 lamp will start to flash immediately. A Phase 1 lamp will have a delayed flash. When next to each other and powered on at the same time, the Phase 0 and Phase 1 lamps will “wig-wag”, flashing opposite of each other. The wig-wag of fully-flashing lamps is considered to be an effective way for the vehicle to provide warning notification.
What is Neobe?
Neobe Flash is a registered trademark technology of TOMAR Electronics developed in 1994, which combines seven (7) rapid flashes of light in each single light burst. Neobe provides a proven level of high conspicuity, meaning the emergency vehicle has a higher ability to capture attention of motorists on or adjacent to the roadway, providing increased safety through awareness.”
Direct Control/Steady Burn
Externally Controlled lights are pre-set warning lights which completely bypass the internal timing/flash controllers, to be slaved into working through commands of another flash source with accuracy. Another flash source can be any non-proprietary controller capable of providing a 12-24 VDC signal with the support of the input current required by the selected light. These lamps allow users to take advantage of TOMAR's class-leading optics and construction, while being controlled by nearly any system.
